How long would it take to get from San Francisco to Hollywood?

I'm going on vacation to San Francisco, and we are planning on going to Hollywood. Except we don't know how long it will take. How long would it take in hours?|||Interstate 580 / 5 = Fastest. 5-6 hours from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

Highway 1 = Most scenic. 10-12 hours from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

U.S. Route 101 = A mixture of speed and scenery. 7-8 hours from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

SFO to LAX shuttle flight = Departs once every 30 minutes. Less than one hour from gate-to-gate. Prices are very reasonable on Virgin and Southwest. However, you'll need to get a rental car once you're in Los Angeles.

http://www.southwest.com/|||Buy a ticket on Virgin America for $69 right away... They used to have summer sale (LAX - SFO $59) but they ended already. I recommend this airline because of its excellent service, cool staff attention and comfortable planes.





It will takes you just 1 h and 20 minutes to go from SFO to LAX. Compared with 6 or 7 driving hours!


If you use this airline you will arrive on terminal 6 in LAX, after that you can take the Flyaway bus (just $4 one-way) to union station; then take the subway to go to Hollywood

Make the math, compare costs of rental car, gas and the 7 stressful hours to drive. Compared to a comfortable seat in a plane I suggest to buy a ticket plane instead of drive by yourself.

Hope this info helps|||If you driving it'll take you between 6 and 7 hours depending on how fast you drive and how many stops you make. The fastest way to get their is to cross the Bay Bridge take the 580 to interstate 5 South. When you get into L.A. get on the Hollywood Freeway. If you take 101 South it could take you up to 10 hours.|||About 7 to 8 hours down I-5. BUT !


To really enjoy your vacation, take beautiful Highway 1 down the coast (if the fires have stopped). It takes all day, but it is the most beautiful highway in America and should not be missed. It's a heck of a lot better looking than Hollywood.|||quickest way is 101 it will take about 5-6 hours if you leave early in the morning. and highway 1 is not the most beautiful highway in america. unless u like seeing farmland and the ocean.|||It's about 90 minutes gate-to-gate (meaning the time you get on the plane to the time you get off).|||about 7 - 8 hours but when ever my dad drove it took like 5 becuase he would not stop so we could go to the bathroom....lol and he liked to go fast! lol|||7 hours if you skip all the traffic. 8 to 9 at the most|||Some people get there quickly. But then, they have talent!
