How do I break into the Hollywood film industry from the UK?

I have graduated from my university film course. I have had over three years experience in the local film and television industry, in positions from runner to camera assist. But there is nothing more going on here due to the economic climate. And of course, I want to go to Hollywood but what is the best way to do that as the Universities or film schools have an insanely small acceptance rate for international students, Any help would be great!|||Since you are a graduate of film course in the UK. And hardly you haven't got any exposure yet of making a film out of your own initiative, maybe it is time you do your own independent film making. It is now acceptable in the film industry of individual's venturing on their own. Making their own script/character/story line etc. and try to sell it through the market. Being a runner or camera assistance is not what I have in mind but being a co-producer and most of all being the director of the film you have made up yourself.

Take the samples of the India's film industries now a days, they have their own version of Hollywood, they call it Bollywood. Sing %26amp; dance story line, were there are villains and good guys mix them up and try to bring singing and dancing, you got yourself an independent film. Why not try to do the same first before you venture to HOLLYWOOD. There is nothing for you either in Hollywood if you haven't got what it takes to land there. Nothing from nothing leads nothing, you got to have something cooking up before you decide to go to Hollywood. You also need a talent manager to back you up when going to Hollywood. It doesn't matter really if you are a foreigner or not in landing in Hollywood as long as you got the talent why not. Take the case of the director of the 'sixth sense' he made it big in Hollywood yet he is an Indian national.
