How do you get from Disneyland to Hollywood?

I am going to be staying in Disneyland area on vacation and want to get to the Pantages theatre (on Hollywood and Vine) in the evening for a show, but dont know what is the best way to get from Anaheim to Hollywood. Is it easy to bus there, or cheap to cab, or do they have shuttles from disneyland to hollywood?|||This is why we drive cars here:





Bus is slow... it takes forever. And the clientele can be strange.





Cab is ultra-expensive.





You could take the train from Anaheim to Union Station, then the Red Line to Hollywood. But the trains don't run that late.





Best to rent a car. You just go up I-5 to the 101, then exit Hollywood Blvd. (There's no shuttle, it's about 30 miles)|||i wont be able to rent a car though, because I still only have a new driver licsence... renting a car is the only way?
