How many tickets to I buy to go to Hollywood Studios?

I looked online to how much the tickets were to go to Hollywood Studios in Orlando and it was $82.00. But do you have to pay another ticket to get into the whole Disney World? I'm really confused about this! Help? I'm going for a cheerleading competition that's being held there.|||The price you saw was for the "Base" ticket. This allows you entry into 1 park per day for as many days as you buy. In that case it was a 1-Day ticket so you could go to any ONE of the 4 Parks. Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom. If you want to go to more than one park on the SAME day you need to purchase the "Park Hopper" option. But if you are only there for one day I would recommend that you do not add the "Park Hopper" option as it really is not worth it.

However, if you are a participant in the cheerleading competition they should have packages and discounts. For that you should contact who ever is coordinating the trip.|||The Disney world resort is made of 4 theme parks and two water parks. The hollywood studios is one of the parks in disney world.

You are having the Disney Base ticket for 1 Day 1 park now. Its actual cost with taxes comes to around $92.33. Yes You have to spend more to visit all disney parks. And the best option is the Park Hopper Tickets that ranges from 1 Day Park Hopper to 10 Day Park Hopper.

visit --- http://www.officialticketcenter.com/chea鈥?/a>|||If you are wanting to go to all the parks then I sugest the park hopper option. You can go to all four parks, and have all the major benifts for only 99 dollars. ( Florida resident discout to if you live in Florida.) REally I am not sure about all the deals or tickets, but like the other answer said certain groups get benifits.

I would check the Walt Disney site. Or call the 1-800 Disney hotline.

Hope this helped!

What was the last major Hollywood film to be released in black & white?

I know Hollywood still releases black %26amp; white films from time to times, but these are exceptions to the rule. At one point in the mid-60s (1965? 1966?), Hollywood completely abandoned black %26amp; white film stock and went all color.

Does anyone know what the last black %26amp; white film to be released in that era was?|||You couldn't possibly pin the end of 'that era' down to one film; Hollywood switched generally to colour in the mid sixties but it never went 'ALL colour'. Admittedly the early 70s probably saw fewest black and white releases, but don't forget Easy Rider, They Shoot Horses Don't They? and Midnight Cowboy in 1969, The Last Picture Show in 1971, Tomorrow in 1972, Paper Moon in 1973, Young Frankenstein in 1974...

This imdb search shows all black and white US releases in date order; maybe you can find your answer there: http://www.imdb.com/search/title?colors=鈥?/a>

It looks like the shift was late 1966 (in which case your answer would be Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf?); if you look at the major studios only, there were ALMOST no black and white films in '67... But there were still a couple of exceptions: In Cold Blood and The Incident. And there have been black and white films made every year since.|||There are still some released in black and white.

Ed Wood (1994) was released in black and white, since it's an era film.

Psycho (1960) could've been released in color, but Hitchcock wanted to make it as cheap as it could get.

The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) was released in black and white as well.|||black and white is still occasionally released for style purposes believe it or not such as 1974's "Young Frankenstein".|||Not sure about that era, but in modern times, schindler's list was the latest black and white film (I think).

What is considered fat in Hollywood for a female leading actress, singer or playboy model?

A size 2? A size 4? 105 lbs? 110 lbs?

I'm just curious...

I know that Hollywood standards are way more strict about thinness and weight, especially for women, then the average American's. So what is considered Hollywood fat?|||umm i would say it depends on your height. if you are 5 ft 7in you should be around like 125... thats around what they are looking for.|||I think it depends - different weight looks different on people depending on height, etc. I think its crazy that the minute someone gains a couple pounds the tabloids jump all over it, but then some of those girls are freakishly skinny and it looks disgusting. Skin and bones is not very attractive. Neither is obesity. Why can't women just love and accept their curves?|||I think a size 10 would be pretty chunky by Hollywood standards. A size 8 might be able to pull it off depending on their frame.|||Well about 105 would be ok..115 or higher is fat.100 and below is great!I mean there was this 20 yr old that weighs the same as me??!!

How do you get into Hollywood acting?

I have experience I have a passion for acting, I've done plays since 4th grade, I did a theater took course here in my town, drama club in high school I'm still in highschool I really want to go higher to acting business in Hollywood ,I live in Minnesota near Minneapolis how do I begin hollywood acting?|||that's good that you're involved in your drama club. continue with that! so as far as hollywood acting...it's just acting. hollywood just happens to be where a lot of famous movies have been filmed. if you want to better your craft continue learning the art, maybe take a few classes or workshops. and never, NEVER give up. especially if it's something you're 'passionate' for. don't compare your acting to other famous people. be you. acting is an art and art is individual and unique. hope this helped a little. and try and find some schools that also offer acting programs.

Any recommendations on how I can get my screenplay read by a Hollywood agent?

I wrote a screenplay. I'm looking for suggestions on how to have my script read and evaluated by a Hollywood agent or anyone in the entertainment industry. I do not live in Hollywood and I do not know anyone in the business. Thank you.|||First things first, before you market your screenplay, register it with the WGA and/or copyright it. (See www.wga.org and/or www.copyright.gov for how.)

Second, be sure you're ready. Screenwriters' first sales average out as their NINTH script; first scripts tend to be pretty bad, although the screenwriter doesn't see it that way until s/he's written several more.

It's not unusual for an agent or production company to like your work but have no use for the script they've seen. You want to be able to say "Yes" when they ask, "Got anything like a romantic comedy, or a family movie?" It's highle recommended that you have at least three highly polished screenplays in three genres before you start marketing yourself.

When you're ready, you want to get the most recent HCD, the Hollywood Creative Directory, agents edition. Pore over it, determining which agents are seeking works similar to yours in genre and tone. Check their sales records online. (There are lots of scams and idea thefts.) Write a kick-azz one-page query letter "selling" your script. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Don't sit back and wait for the big call or letter. Odds are it won't come. Instead, get busy writing your next screenplay.|||Check out the site:

http://www.scriptblasters.com|||DO NOT SEND IT TO HOLLYWOOD. You have to get an agent. A friend of mine has an uncle in Hollywood....his uncle is just a cameraman's assistant. What is the difference between hollywood movies and english movies?

I'm not very good at this but i just know movies made in the US are hollywood movies but what about British or Australian films? District 9 was a SA based movie would that be considered a hollywood one? Plz help..thanx!!|||I think it matters more on what countries producers and directors are doing the film rather than the location it is being shot.

Most Hollywood and Australian films are in the action adventure genre while British films are mostly drama and some corny comedy and often have a message. The District 9 film was, I believe, British financed and made, it had a strong message in it. z|||British movies tend to have a plot, dialogue, and an interesting story.

Hollywood movies tend to have explosions, car chases, and catch phrases.|||Hollywood - made in USA

How many people are chosen from each audition city to go to Hollywood on American Idol?

My niece got through the first round of auditions in Austin, TX this week. There is one more tomorrow that determines if they go to Hollywood. Approximately how many people from each audition city go to Hollywood to be on American Idol?|||I think 40 per city and then they will have group performances and then judges will decide probably less than 10 per city.|||I guess it depends on how many make it thru the first round and if they were good enough.

How do i get from Hollywood to Disneyland?

I am stayin in Hollywood by North Highland Ave, How to i get to Disney, I dont have a car. Is there a train or a bus that goes there. Also how far is it from Hollywood and how long will it take to get there?|||Oh, that's easy. Walk to the Hollywood/Highland subway station, take the red line subway to Union Station, and then either Amtrak or Metrolink. Get off at Anaheim. From there you could walk to Disneyland or take the ART shuttle.|||Check this out. TripAdvisor has a whole explanation on it. So, take the Red Line to Union Station first. Where can I find vintage Hollywood movie posters?

I am currently re-decorating my bedroom and I choose the vintage Hollywood theme because I love old movies. I am looking for vintage movie posters, so far I was only able to find three at the stores (Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Mairlynn Monroe in that white dresss). Does anybody know of any good websites where I can find some Hollywood movie posters? I would also like to point out that I am on a budget : ) Also, does anyone have any tips for decor that would enhance my theme?|||Posterazzi http://www.posterazzi.com/ has thousands upon thousands of movie posters (and posters of other types). You can pick up frames almost anywhere, but IKEA has nice beechwood frames that can be painted.

My suggestion as to decorating is to pick a style and choose both posters and accessories that suit that style. For example, if you like Art Deco, you could get posters from movies like Metropolis, Wings, and the 1931 Frankenstein. (Posters from more recent movies like Bonnie %26amp; Clyde and the Agatha Christie mysteries work well here too.) If you wanted to go 50s retro, you could get posters from movies like Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sunset Boulevard, and Ben-Hur.

For decorating, you could paint using historical paint colours for those eras. Sherwin Williams has a historical palette, as does Dulux in the UK. Paint is cheap, especially if you do it yourself, and can really make a big difference.

Once you choose a specific era, it'll also be easier to find furniture and accessories that match. 50s accessories show up a lot in garage sales in post-war neighbourhoods - many seniors who were 20 in the 50s are moving into seniors' residences and cleaning out their homes.|||When I think of Old Hollywood, I think art deco, and black and white art. I have a great old stock photo (black and white) from the movie Casablanca that shows Bogey, Bergman and Henreid standing in front of "Rick's Cafe American". It's about 30 years old. I got it at a county fair. I've never seen another one like it.

Art Posters is one website that comes to mind. You might also check out eBay for art deco items. Lots of really great deals since you're on a budget. You do have to have a PayPal account and bid on the items, but usually you'll be satisfied with your purchases.

http://hollywoodmegastore.com/ is a good place to start. It will give you some ideas about colors (black, white, tan and silver were big then) and themes.

Good luck.

What is the sidewalk in Hollywood that had all of the stars with Actor's and Actress's names on it called?

I am working on a project for school and i don't know if it is called Hollywood Boulevard or The Walk of Fame. I'm thinking it's Hollywood Boulevard but i can't be sure.

Thanks!|||The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a sidewalk along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, that serves as an entertainment museum. It is embedded with more than 2,000 five-pointed stars featuring the names of not only human celebrities but also fictional characters honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for their contributions to the entertainment industry.

The Walk of Fame runs west on Hollywood Boulevard from Gower Avenue to La Brea Avenue and south to north on Vine Street between Yucca Street and Sunset Boulevard. The Walk of Fame is nearly a three-and-a-half-(3 1/2)-mile (5.6 km) round-trip walk.|||It's both. The street is Hollywood Blvd. The sidewalk is known as The Walk of Fame. BTW - Most of Hollywood Blvd. isn't glam and isn't even in the area known as Hollywood. Its a VERY long street.|||Hollywood walk of fame,in Hollywood along Hollywood Blvd in from of Grumman's Chinese theatre.|||The Walk of Fame _is_ on the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard (both sides), but it is also on Vine Street.

(The majority of the stars are on Hollywood Blvd, but some of the more notable stars from Hollywood's Golden Age are on Vine, as well as a number of big music stars in front of the Capitol Records Building, on Vine.)

Today, the heart of modern Hollywood has shifted west from Hollywood %26amp; Vine to Hollywood %26amp; Highland, where you'll find, among other things, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, the El Capitan theatre, the Kodak Theatre (where the Oscars are held) and the Hollywood %26amp; Highland center.

please help me|||u should not smile on her it is her dream ok i suggest you to first sell one song on tunecore and put on youtube if u are good singer your music will sell all over but u get very less money|||It's not that easy honey, sorry... Just because you have good taste in "hollywood music" doesn't mean you'll be a "hollywood singer" and signed... That's true you'd have a better chance in LA, but your country's big enough, so might work from there too... What you need to do is take singing lessons, practice practice practice, find venues you can perform at, and if you're good enough, work on getting an agent. Goodluck!(:|||HAHAHAHA, good luck with that! LOL

If it was that simple, would we all be 'Hollywood singers'?

What are some of the middle eastern cities that were glamorized by hollywood in the 30's and 40's?

Examples: Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, Sword of Damascus, and other hollywood adventure movies in that time. What would you say were the top 5 or so cities that were glamorozed by hollywood during the 30's and 40's?|||There were many movies made in those time periods in major cities. Gone With The Wind was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1939. Since it was in the times of the great depression, a lot would be settled in New York City and Boston.

Which is better to get more famous: an indian girl acting in hollywood or bollywood?

Which would get a British born Indian girl more famous, doing movies in hollywood or bollywood? Not many indian people get famous in hollywood. Is rascism still an issue? What are your opinions and where would a british indian girl succeed?|||As you say yourself, not many Indian people get famous in Hollywood, so if you have what it takes you will certainly get more famous than you are likely to achieve with Bollywood, where you could end up being one of the crowd.

Racism is still an issue, not as much as it used to be but It exist in both Bollywood and Hollywood (don't forget your British born, they wont)

Good Luck on whichever to choose to succeed in, It will be hard work, but worth it in the long run.|||It will depend on the type of project you're going to work with. If it's an International Film then you'll be more exposed to Hollywood but If you're working with 'a typical' movie then you're set to be exposed in making Bollywood. Both are good but it will depend on how a British Indian Girl would decide and accept what type of projects she would like to do.

Why does Hollywood flaunt its wealth in our faces, then preach to us that the root of all evil is money?

Hollywood's decadence is constantly being shoved in our faces. We cannot escape from their jet-setting lifestyles. They flaunt their opulence on self-congratulatory red carpet extravaganzas, while we sit at home wondering why we can't have a life as great as theirs. Then we flock to their films and sit in front of their TV shows and are taught how we should learn to be less greedy and be content with nothing more than a few smiles and a soft couch to sit on.

Anyone notice this destructive dichotomy?|||The road to hell is paved with good intentions. They use their money and influence to pave that road. So, in some twisted form of Hollywood logic, their money is the root of all evil.

What do you think of when you think of old vintage hollywood?

I'm doing a concept board for my interior design class. I want my influence for this board to be old hollywood vintage Marilyn Monroe or the first Playboy issues. What type of things (black and white, silk, pearls.) What do you think of when you think of old hollywood?|||Do you mean what are the images of Old Hollywood that come to my mind or what do I imagine the interior design to be at that time?

Old Hollywood was glamour without gaudiness.

For interiors, sumptuous fabrics ( brocade, bullion fringe, crushed velvet ), padded headboards on the beds, a round bed with satin sheets, thick carpeting but not shag, fresh flowers, a fainting couch/chaise in a rich fabric.

As for the images that come to my mind about Old Hollywood:

Hostess dresses. Back in the day women dressed so much more elegantly than we do now.

Here's an image of a hostess dress on an Old hollywood legend, Lucille Ball.

http://dailyfashionandstyle.com/img/arts鈥?/a>

Nowadays, no woman is going to put on something that fabulous with the beautiful diaphanous fabric and host a dinner party. Back in the day, they did. Add some over-the-top rhinestone jewelry, a bouquet of fresh roses on the dinner table and you have Old Hollywood come to life.

Mules on her feet with maribou feathers. Ahhh what a picture!

This image of Lucy screams Old Hollywood, too. The Art Deco padded shell shape in the background. The feathers on her shoulders.

Everyone thinks she was just a kooky redhead. Goggle images of Lucille Ball. She was quite beautiful and embodied that glamour of Old Hollywood. There have been many great films shot in places other than Hollywood.

If you mean the Hollywood film industry, then yes, most good movies do come out of Hollywood, regardless of where they're filmed. (Even the Harry Potter films, mentioned above, were a product of Warner Bros, in Hollywood, which shot the film in the UK.)

Americans just have a knack for making movies. They do it well, they give the people what they want (for better or worse), and the product sells.

Even in most European nations, Hollywood films are more popular than their own local productions. Take a look at a list of the biggest films in the international box office (such as this one: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/ ) and Hollywood productions are almost always at the top in every nation on earth.

What are some safe places with good schools and low renting prices close to Hollywood.?

My family and I are moving to southern California later this year. My main goal is to be a successful actor, and I am ready to go out on auditions and try to get an agent. My family is going through some financial troubles and we need to find a town/city that has low renting prices, good schools, and is safe. It needs to be close enough to Hollywood for me to go out and do the acting thing also. I looked at Sherman Oaks and Studio City, but the crime rate is too high. Thanks guys!|||The best public schools (distinguished schools per CA designation) are in Agoura Hills, Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks. But they're in western LA County %26amp; Ventura County, which are up to 45 miles away from the studios and not cheap.

Hope you drive a hybrid!|||We see this every day in this forum: Everyone wants to move here (especially "actors"), and is looking for 鈥渃heap/affordable and safe". However, such a place just doesn鈥檛 exist; the two terms are mutually exclusive. It's all about supply and demand: If it's in SoCal, then it's not going to be cheap to begin with. If it's a safe area, then it's more expensive. If you need good schools, add a couple hundred bucks a month on top of it.

Actually, Sherman Oaks and Studio City are nice sections. If the crime rate there is too high for you, then I would recommend you don't come here at all, because nothing will be "safe" enough for you. This is a large city, and there is crime. However, it's not to hard to avoid being a victim, if you just exercise a little caution.

If you want to live here and enjoy the weather, then you have to pay for it. You put up with the smog and the traffic, enjoy the weather and pay your rent or mortgage. My advice is to start checking out craigslist, rent.com, and apartments.com if you are looking to rent. You鈥檒l quickly see that the minimum rent for a non-war zone is about $1,000-$1,200 per month for a studio or 1BR. Really nice areas (like the West LA area) easily run $3,000 or more. Want to live near the beach? Expect to pay a premium.

"LA" is such a big place, there are so many neighborhoods/cities where you can live. Of course, even within a city or neighborhood, there are safer sections and less-safe sections.

In Los Angeles, some nice sections are West LA, Brentwood, Westwood, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Los Feliz, Silverlake, Eagle Rock, Encino, Tarzana, Studio City, Toluca Lake, Granada Hills, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, West Hills, Chatsworth.

To the east: South Pasadena, parts of Pasadena, Altadena, Arcadia, Monrovia.

Along the beach: Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes, Rancho PV.

In Orange County aka "The OC": Seal Beach , Huntington Beach , Newport Beach , Corona Del Mar , Laguna Beach , Dana Point , Capistrano Beach , San Clemente , Brea, Yorba Linda, Orange, Tustin, Irvine, Laguna Hills, Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest

To the west: Agoura, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Simi Valley, Moorpark.

This is not an all-inclusive list, but it's a start.|||LA is a big city, and prices are high. What you are asking for is not to be found, as lower prices are found farther out. But I will give it my best in briefer form than Obviousman. However, you should pay attention to his well-researched answer.

Rents: Sherman Oaks and Studio City are not so bad actually. Also try Burbank, Glendale, Atwater Village, Silverlake, Echo Park, Alhambra and the San Gabriel Valley (but be selective).

Schools: Glendale, Burbank, Arcadia, South Pasadena, Alhambra and others in the San Gabriel Valley

Safety: similar to the schools list

In general, I would steer you to the areas on my schools list. It might be a little more of a drive for you, but your family would be better settled, and you should be able to find decent rent (but still considering that LA is EXPENSIVE).

But if you are having financial troubles, I really question a move to this place at such a time and to the acting world, where a minuscule number of people make it. 99% of them have day jobs and are grateful to have them. Can you line something up before coming?|||Yikes, Sherman Oaks and Studio City ARE good sections. I assume your question is a well crafted joke...RIGHT ????|||that is rihte|||Sherman Oaks and Studio City are about the best you're going to be able to do. The crime rate there is not very high. It may seem high to you if you're coming from some rural area. But any part of LA is going to have some crime.|||Try Burbank, it sounds like a good option for you. Very safe and, apparently, the schools are good (it's not a part of LAUSD, it's in its own school district). Like all of LA, rents will be pricey, but probably more "affordable" than other areas.|||I'm going to have to agree with Obviousman and some of the other answerers.. this is a question/comment that many LA natives have heard countless times.. Sorry to say. For some people (very few) it works out the way they imagined, but for the majority, it probably doesn't. I understand though, wanting to follow your dream and whatnot.. My advice is, if you've never been to LA, come for a visit and then decide if it's really what you want to do/where you want to be. I don't believe you're joking about Sherman Oaks, Studio City, correct? And that's unfortunate, because I'd rather you were joking. As mentioned, these aren't such bad places.. In fact, compared to many parts of LA, like Van Nuys, Pacoima, etc., it's pretty darn fantastic in Sherman Oaks and Studio City. The crime rate in much of LA is higher than the national average. And whYY oh why would you want to be near Hollywood? Yuck, seriously. Most of Hollywood is a hell hole. And, contrary to popular belief, many auditions aren't held in "Hollywood." They're held all over LA county, which is ginormous. A lot of actors live in Burbank, for example, which is about 20-30 mins away from Hollywood depending on traffic. Some auditions are held in Los Angeles (which is not Hollywood), while others are held in random cities like.. Pasadena or whatever. There IS not place like what you're saying in LA. I'm sorry, but it's true. For LA natives, it's hard to find that, much less for someone who's new here. Rent is unbelievably high if crime rates are low for a good 97% of the county. Schools suck. It's not safe. Etc. I really, really don't want to seem like a downer, because I like living in LA. Perhaps if I didn't grow up here, I wouldn't like it, though.. I think I'm just used to it. I just miss it whenever I go anywhere else, lol.. but that's probably common of other hometowns as well. Anywho, I wish you good luck with whatever you choose to do, and would tell you to seriously consider coming out for a visit before deciding to move here, if you already haven't visited, of course. :o)

How do I submit a film idea to Hollywood?

Im 15 and I have a great idea for a movie, I would like to submit it to Hollywood or a movie producer to get it on the "big screen". So how do i go about doing this?|||A good idea is not enough. Hollywood is full of good ideas, the difficulty is taking the new step and turning a good idea into good films. For this you need a screenplay and an agent who can generate enough interest to get your script read. Even then you will have an uphill struggle to get your voice heard as producers cannot accept unsolicitated material because of the risk of litigation. Every year 20,000 new screenplays are registered with the writers guild, but only a 1000 films are made, and when you take into account that many of these films were based on screenplays written years ago, you can see that getting a movie made is akin to winning the jackpot prize in the lottery. My advice is to write the screenplay as best as you can, even if takes years. Polish it up until you cannot improve on it. Then send it to as many agents are possible. If they are not interested no producer will give you a second glance. You should take a course in screenplay writing or read a few books on the subject as Hollywood is very particular about how it wants its scripts written.|||Best course of action: don't. Studios hardly ever listen to peoples' ideas; they'll only read the scripts, and if they like them, they greenlight them. And if they did, would you want someone taking your idea and making it their own?

My recommendation? Write a full-length script for your idea, try to get it noticed. Try to find people with connections to get it out there. Also, there's sites like Amazon Studios (http://studios.amazon.com/) to help your script get out there. I don't particularly recommend that site (because Amazon has the right to take creative control over your script once you submit it), but it is a way to at least get some exposure.

Why does Hollywood present the historical characters Achilles and Alexander the Great , as blondes ?

Isnt this kinda smell racism ?

Because few greeks and macedonians are blondes,

Is this how hollywood wants us to believe those characters are blondes ?|||I think it's because most people believe that blondes are more attractive than brunnets. Hollywood wants us to "stick" with an actor, so than we'll watch any film he plays in. And I think, one of the ways to achieve that is to give the audience what they want.

Additionally, the producers don't want to inform the audience about how those heroes actually were and what actually happened then, but rather to amuse them! That's why every movie about them ends up being only 10-20% true....|||It's not racism exactly, it's just stupid. They can't very well cast Samuel L Jackson as Achilles really could they, not if they wanted to retain any historical validity.

What really made me laugh though is when they cast a 6 foot Irishman as the 5 foot Alexander :) I guess Tom Cruise didn't want to be seen as a bisexual.|||No offense but you are being very sensitive. I am going to be staying in Disneyland area on vacation and want to get to the Pantages theatre (on Hollywood and Vine) in the evening for a show, but dont know what is the best way to get from Anaheim to Hollywood. Is it easy to bus there, or cheap to cab, or do they have shuttles from disneyland to hollywood?|||This is why we drive cars here:

Bus is slow... it takes forever. And the clientele can be strange.

Cab is ultra-expensive.

You could take the train from Anaheim to Union Station, then the Red Line to Hollywood. But the trains don't run that late.

Best to rent a car. You just go up I-5 to the 101, then exit Hollywood Blvd. (There's no shuttle, it's about 30 miles)|||i wont be able to rent a car though, because I still only have a new driver licsence... renting a car is the only way?

What are some things to do in North Hollywood?

I was planning on visiting the Los Angeles area soon and taking the red subway line from Union Station near Downtown Los Angeles to North Hollywood.

What are some interesting things to do in North Hollywood for a 19 year old and what are some interesting places to visit in the North Hollywood area?

I know that its very close to the San Fernando Valley and the cities of Burbank, and Glendale. Does the Subway make any stops between those citys or is it just a one way trip between Union Station and North Hollywood Station?|||The Red Line goes from Union Station in downtown LA, to Wilshire Bl, then up Vermont Ave then through Hollywood to North Hollywood, with stops along the way. No. Hollywood itself has changed a lot so some areas are not that nice. Burbank is much nicer and I like the mall there.

You should have fun.|||U can get off on the Universal exit and go to Citywalk, just walk across the street, if you don't want to hike up the long hill, the Universal Studios Tram is free.

Get off on the next exit, the Magnolia station, it's the last exit on the red line's north route anyway, go to the Eclectic Cafe, Pit Fire Pizza, there's tons of eclectic shops there, and you can see the Grammy Statue, it's all on the corner of Lankershim and Magnolia, just walk up Lankershim to the intersection with Burnbank and go right, on your right hand side you'll see the Museum of Abnormal Arts!

Someone mentioned Toluca Lake, well hmmm, if you're into celebrity searching then it would be the perfect place for you, just drive down Riverside Blvd and you may see tons of them, go to the Bob's Big Boy, the food sux but you're guaranteed to see a celebrity or 2 there.

When did the era of hard working Hollywood actors come to an end and pretty face with no talent era began?

Back in the old days of Hollywood, an actor needed to be good at singing, dancing, drama and comedy all at the same time or else they did not stand a chance to make it unless they had a unique physical ugliness that could be used for horror or sci-fy films.

Today is all about marketing a popular face that usually has no talent or their abilities are nothing in comparison to the old days.|||What movies have you been watching?

There are plenty of "classic" actors still out there. Hugh Jackman, Ewan Mcgreggor, Neil Patrick Harris, Emma Stone,

So Christian Bale has no talent? Russell Crow has no talent? Jeremy Renner has no talent? Colin Ferrel has no talent? Uma Thurman has no talent?

Just because you prefer over acting to real solid performances doesn't mean the performers are any worse, it means you have a taste in a different style of acting.|||Well how many people still watch play's? But yah I totally agree talent went down the drain after the 70's for the most part. I feel that there are still good movies out their they are just ridiculously hard to find. Try foreign film's that's all i watch now and they still maintain talent.|||Probably when all the talented actors got high and mighty and stopped agreeing to sleep with the powers that be. A real shame that talent isn't king. And now it's happening in literature, too, with bad authors (can you say "Stephenie Meyer?") actually making tons of money. (Though, I don't think any powers that be are sleeping with her...who knows what cosmic glitch caused that phenomenon.)

Will the City Centre opening affect room rates at Planet Hollywood?

My wife and I have visited Vegas more than 30 times, staying mostly at the Flamingo (which is getting a bit tired). We decided on our last trip that we would stay at Planet Hollywood the next time. We are planning to take our niece there in May for her 21st birthday. Right now the rates are running about $200 a night. I am thinking the opening of the City Centre across the street in December has got to affect the rates at Planet Hollywood. Any thoughts?|||Room rates are gauged on a weekly basis, and it is almost impossible to say anything with certainty. For the last 20 years each new casino has expanded the market in Las Vegas, attracting more and more visitors by car or plane. Now the planes have been cut, and only Southwest and the tiny Allegiant Air have hubs at Las Vegas (USAirways is reducing flights so that Las Vegas just connects with hub cities). Visitors dropped from 39 million a year to 35 million.

=============

The multi-billion dollar question on everyone's mind is will City Center cannibalize on the other casinos. When the Encore opened up a year ago the combined Wynn Encore made less money on both casinos than just the Wynn casino, and the rest of the resort only made about 10% more. So if the visitors don't increase you will be correct.

-----------------

The PH has kept there room rates higher than almost any other resort. They are now teetering on bankruptcy. May I suggest Treasure Island as your upgrade. A petite suite at Treasure Island is about $139 midweek.|||Planet Hollywood knows just as well as you and I do when CityCenter opens, how big it is, and how much their rooms cost. They are not going to be taken by surprise and suddenly panic and change their rates for the next 6 months on the day it opens - they have known for years that this was coming and have taken it into consideration already.

The only thing they don't know yet is how successful CityCenter will be. If it's very successful and rates at CityCenter are high, Planet Hollywood may actually RAISE their rates because of their great "location" across the street from CityCenter.

If CityCenter is not successful, they will charge lower rates, which may in turn push down rates at Planet Hollywood.|||When new larger and more elegant properties open they force the others to take a grade down in status. I remember when Excalibur was one of the most expensive properties on the strip and now it is one of the lowest priced. The law of supply and demand works very well here. By adding all those rooms at City Centre will take visitors away from other properties and force them to reduce prices to draw customers back to them. A new property will not bring new unique first time visitors, it will draw on clientel from other hotels. Prices will drop after the opening and they feel the pinch. Add to the fact that it looks like Harrah's Corp may soon be taking it over.|||At $200 /night, I will ask for my money back. Rooms at Aria and Vdara are currently going for $159 %26amp; $149 a night. Planet Hollywood will have to give their rooms away after December to get anyone in there.

How do you get a role in a movie?|||Move to LA, work your butt off, take acting classes, dont give up, eventualy you will have a chance to audition for something big, dont blow it. It could take many years or a couple of weeks.|||You should have a background of at least some acting programs or workshops. Keep in mind you can't just walk into Hollywood and expect to be famous. First step you should do is submit some headshots/or a picture of yourself to some agencies in LA such as Abrams Artists Agency, CESD, Coast 2 Coast or you may able to google many good agencies. If you aren't able, it is easy to get a manager and they will help you with your career. Even if you don't have an agent right now you are able to submit to acting auditions and make an account to casting sites such as:

How can i sell my screenplays to hollywood?

I have some really awsome material which many people like, but how can I sell it to the big guys in hollywood?|||Convince a major star that they want to do it.|||Get a manager ( if you don't already have one) and they 'll take care of it. Make sure your manager is someone you can trust so they won't steal your story or whatever. Also it doesn't heart to be or live in a major city, so take that into consideration.|||As a writer, I say join a guild if you have been published. I am in a guild and that greatly helped me get an agent. I am now writing the first novel. Some big-time writers submit the work and no big deal. But the beginners (such as myself) had to scratch and scrabble to get IN a guild (in most you have to be published to get in the guild) and convince an agent that you have talent. Yes, you have to pay the agent; however, that is a double edged sword. The agent can sell "you" faster because they are in the loop but you have to pay them. I was submitting forever and found that most major publishing houses have manuscripts everywhere and they just sit. Got that from my Professor/Writer Uncle. So, I got an agent. I'll bet you DO have good material. If you are that confident, you likely do. But my advice is join a guild (the guilds have agents combing them for new work) and get an agent. I spent too much time sending out work that apparently fell on somebody's desk and will be there until they realize that my book went to print and they missed the boat. That's the nature of the beast, tho'. Also, if you know someone in the industry, see if you can use that angle. I was glad to have the advice of my Uncle. I had to do the work but he gave me the advice. Also, see if there are any writers groups in your area. Agents comb those, also, looking for talent. Where my Mom lives, the agents are always there from various publishing houses. Good luck and I hope to see the movie.|||You can't sell it you need an agent|||Your work may be "really awesome," to you, but not to the "big boys (the men and women "literary agents," that make or break writers.)

Why do Conservatives go to the Movies and help support Hollywood Liberals?

If the Conservatives hate the Hollywood Liberals so much, why do they continue to pay their wages by going to the movies, buying and renting DVDs, etc? Look at it this way genius. I can't stand Barbra Streisand politically and am still waiting for her to keep her word about leaving the US. That said, I also think she is an excellent singer and a very talented actress.

Your problem, is that you are unable to separate people and politics. I hope you learn how to do it someday, otherwise you will end up a bitter, biased person, similar to "Caribou "Quit" Barbie". If you still don't understand, find one of his questions and follow it to his profile. What video game should Hollywood turn into a movie?

Imagine this. Hollywood wants to turn a certain video game into a movie so here's the real question. What video game shoul Hollywood make a movie out of and why?|||All the metal gear games into two movies would be be epic|||They shouldn't.

Overall, most movies based on video games haven't turned out so well. And what you do in most video games is run through levels (which are most times lengthy), which couldn't really be substituted in a movie. And depending on what video game we're talking about (I'm more a Nintendo fan myself, though I play a few shooters), the protagonist doesn't really talk to much. That'd be a major setback in a movie revolving around them.

Though I'd like to see what some other people have to say on this and what THEY think should be made into a movie. My only tip would be to make it off a game with a good story that takes up a good portion of the game.|||i basically agree that they shouldnt turn game to movies because the limited story. but if i have to choose i guess its ff 8 because the story is amazing and i guess people will like it just cut out a few part like the summons and make it like a soldier/army story and i think its good to go
