What are some things to do in North Hollywood?

I was planning on visiting the Los Angeles area soon and taking the red subway line from Union Station near Downtown Los Angeles to North Hollywood.

What are some interesting things to do in North Hollywood for a 19 year old and what are some interesting places to visit in the North Hollywood area?

I know that its very close to the San Fernando Valley and the cities of Burbank, and Glendale. Does the Subway make any stops between those citys or is it just a one way trip between Union Station and North Hollywood Station?|||The Red Line goes from Union Station in downtown LA, to Wilshire Bl, then up Vermont Ave then through Hollywood to North Hollywood, with stops along the way. It doesn't go through Glendale or Burbank.

If it's the weekend, you can get off the Red Line at Vermont %26amp; Sunset and then take the Observatory Shuttle up to the Observatory.

The Red Line stops at Hollywood %26amp; Highland, so you could do some Hollywood touristy stuff, like the Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre, etc.

If you get off at the Universal City Station, you can cross the street, get on the free shuttle bus up to Universal Studios, and go to City Walk, or if you want to pay for admission, Universal Studios.

There are small playhouses in North Hollywood near that stop, usually the shows are at night. Not too much to do around the NoHo station imo.

You could take the Gold Line from Union Station into Pasadena, get off at Memorial Park Station and walk south 2 blocks to Colorado Bl for Old Town, and the Norton Simon Museum (on the very west of Old Town).

From Union Station, take the Purple Line to Koreatown. There are two shopping plazas, the Plaza and Galleria, directions here:

I'm in NoHo almost every weekend for a few hours and I can't think of anything really thrilling to do there, maybe it's just me. South of the station there are really good dance and acting classes and playhouses, the Academy of Television Arts, a large golf store, and about 1.5 miles to the northeast, a nice Target...

Have fun!|||but these are actually very good places you described and I will check them out oh and thanks for giving other metro routes too.

|||I use to live there. There is an area just outside of No Hollywood called "Toluca Lake". It is a nice small city to shop in. There is also Universal City which is pretty much No Holly., you have the city walk, all kinds of shops and movies and of course the tour and hotel and restaurants.

No. Hollywood itself has changed a lot so some areas are not that nice. Burbank is much nicer and I like the mall there.

You should have fun.|||U can get off on the Universal exit and go to Citywalk, just walk across the street, if you don't want to hike up the long hill, the Universal Studios Tram is free.

Get off on the next exit, the Magnolia station, it's the last exit on the red line's north route anyway, go to the Eclectic Cafe, Pit Fire Pizza, there's tons of eclectic shops there, and you can see the Grammy Statue, it's all on the corner of Lankershim and Magnolia, just walk up Lankershim to the intersection with Burnbank and go right, on your right hand side you'll see the Museum of Abnormal Arts!

Someone mentioned Toluca Lake, well hmmm, if you're into celebrity searching then it would be the perfect place for you, just drive down Riverside Blvd and you may see tons of them, go to the Bob's Big Boy, the food sux but you're guaranteed to see a celebrity or 2 there.
